Unfortunately not on display at the moment
Tina Blau-Lang (1845-1916) made her debut at the Österreichischen Kunstverein [Austrian Art Association] at the age of 22. A continuous participation in exhibitions was to follow her first success, such as the art exhibition of the Wiener Weltausstellung [Vienna World’s Fair] in 1873, where she presented three artworks. There, the Danube River Regulation, created in 1872, is said to have been shown next to two other paintings. The artist was inspired by Vienna’s surroundings and was devoted to the repeated depiction of a subject, which also was the case in the Danube River Regulation shown here.
