Translation of the Transcription:

4th July 1916. – Dear Mr. Reininghaus – I should very much like to see you again and to enjoy some art with you– How are you? – I have been commandeered here on 3rd May [!] and have been doing my duty in the provisions office of the Imperial-Royal Officers’ Station for Prisoners of War in Mühling bei Wieselburg N.Ö. [Lower Austria] – The landscape here is very beautiful – there are forests and mountains nearby, including the Ötscher – my wife is here, too – How about you coming over to spend a few days in nature here? – I can recommend Scheibbs highly to you. – Best regards,
