The 27-year-old Adele Harms (1890–1968) frequently posed in the studio of her brother-in-law Egon Schiele (1890–1918) for photographs (cf. Adele Harms with Hat and Fur Collar and Adele Harms, Seated, in Underwear): In the present shot, she is modeling a fashionable two-piece suit, a wide-brimmed hat and a long necklace, and is holding a delicate bouquet of flowers in her hands. Adele, who usually adopted a self-confident stance, is looking into the camera in a reserved, almost shy way. The photograph was likely taken during the same session as that of her sister, see Edith Schiele with Fox Fur and Black Skirt. This photographs shows a female figure on the right edge of the shot, who is wearing the same outfit as Adele, except for a different hat. As far as we know, no other ladies posed for fashion photographs in Schiele’s studio.
