Dearest dearest Gustav Klimt,
If I knew nothing nothing other than
your two cottage gardens, your portrait of
the young [Margarethe Stonborough-]Wittgenstein, and your painting “The 3
Ages”, I would have to show you the deepest admiration
for the rest of my life – – – – – – – .
You draw everything from an incredible
source of strength, which is then sublimated in
your artwork into the most delicate blossom – – – .
The little arguments we have had with each other
here and there, were only due to
my nervous unrestrained behaviour, never because of you!
