Translation of the Transcription:
13th August, 1915; Dear A.P. [Anton Peschka]. For the past 14 days we’ve been guarding the bridgehead in Vienna XII., Tiergarten Lainz – I have been suffering from appendicitis for two days and will stay home for a few days – I don’t know what will happen then. Thank you for your letter. I heard that Peperl [Josef] Ehrlich was captured in Vladivostok, Hansl [Hans Ehrlich] came down with typhoid in the winter and since then no one has heard from him. Fritz is in Brünn.
Warm regards, Egon.
