Translation of the Transcription:

Breslau 6th Nov. [19]18.

Dear Madam,
I did not know your son personally, but I know what he meant to the world of art and which values have been buried along with him. Thus, it is not only your pain as a mother that deeply moves me, but also my own aching for the artist upon which I had set my hopes and whom I held in such great esteem. Allow me, Madam, to express my heartfelt condolences to you and your dear family.
Respectfully yours,
Hel. [Helene] Heine
