Translation of the Transcription:

Vienna, 6th November 1918

Dearest Madam!
At the request of my mother, Mrs. [Josefine] Harms, I took care of the dog “Lord” during the illness of our beloved. I presume that you, Madam, will administer the estate of Egon [Schiele], may God rest his soul, and I would hereby like to inquire respectfully what is to be done with the dog. I will send the dog along with the boy, please keep it or send a few lines via the boy as to what is to happen with the animal. I am sure that many of Egon’s friends would love to take it, unfortunately, I can’t keep it in my present circumstances. Very respectfully yours with kind regards to yourself and Miss Melanie [Schiele]
