Translation of the Transcription:
With great sorrow, Mrs. Josefine Harms as his wife on behalf of herself and her children
hereby announces to all relatives and loving friends the devastating news of the passing of her/their unforgettable husband/father, father-in-law and grandfather,
Mister
Johann Heinrich Harms,
homeowner,
who on Friday, 5th January 1917, at 8 o’clock in the evening went to be with his lord and savior after a brief illness in his 73rd year.
The mortal remains of the beloved deceased will be consecrated in a rite of the Protestant faith, A. C. [Augsburg Confession], on Monday, 8th January 1917, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the cemetery chapel in Ober St. Veit and he will be laid to rest in his own grave on said cemetery.
