The Quill Pen Cleaner is part of a comprehensive writing set executed in 1903 by the Wiener Werkstätte to Koloman Moser’s (1868–1918) designs. The article of daily use made from silver-plated copper is characterized by its simple round shape and plain decor. The only adornments to the quill pen cleaner – and the matching Paperweight – consist of a decorative hammered finish, which was highly popular at the time, as well as six spherical applications.
