20th December 1912.

Dear Karl Reininghaus! I believe you must have
recovered by now and so I want to remind you
that I have not yet been able to send you the
little city view from the Hagenbund, because [Arthur] Rößler,
who had purchased it before, does not want to part with
it. There is a better prospect, however, if you are
willing. – I have painted a few more city views,
which are larger and which I estimate to be worth
much more; if you want to choose one of those
instead of the smaller work, I will be delighted. Of course
there will be no surcharge. – At any rate, I will reserve
one of them if you cannot come now! I will be away
from Vienna for a few days because I have a portrait
to paint and will be at my studio
from 10 to 4 o’clock every day from
Thursday next week.
Kindest regards,

Egon Schiele Vienna XII, Hietzinger-Hauptstr.[aße]
