Translation of the Transcription:
2nd May 1917
Dear Mr. Reininghaus! –
I am sorry I was out when you came to see me yesterday, – for once, I was occupied with military tasks until 8 o’clock. – Maybe you could come see me on any other evening this week. – I would be grateful, however, if you could let me know. – If you should happen to come by unannounced, my wife, who is with my mother-in-law during the day, will be able to tell you where to find me, – the house is opposite
(XIII, Hietzinger-Hauptstr.[aße] 114
Harms). Best regards,
