Translation of the Transcription:
Thursday. Dear A. P. [Anton Peschka], two black drawings will be ready for collection by the time Gerti [Gertrude Peschka, née Schiele] comes. How is it going, old brother-in-law? – Heading for Italy – perhaps you will be sent to the Slizza Gorge – a chance to revisit it. I will send you the camera after the 1st of June, it costs 9 K. [crowns] – What rotten times! No end in sight, now that I would have made it. I am getting everything from H. [Heinrich] Böhler. He bought 4 paintings – he pays me every month so that I always have something except for my salary. I don’t need to sell anything else at the moment. I will exhibit at the Munich Secession from summer to October, and in August at the Kunsthaus Zürich – we have founded a new artists’ union, I write about this occasionally. I would have everything now – on Monday, I will be mustered. Maybe I will be sent there too?
In the meantime, I remain yours affectionately,
Egon.
Write always! Please.
always to the most recent address.
