Translation of the Transcription:
13th August 1915. Dear Mother, I have been at home for 2 days because I am sick, and I will stay a few more days – we would be happy if you could come visit us in the coming days at 7.30 or 8 pm.
Affectionately, Egon.
[Written by Edith Schiele:]
Dear Mom, please don’t be alarmed, Egon’s illness is not at all serious; he simply wanted to rest for a few days, that’s why he “got sick”.
Greetings and kisses
yours, Edith.
