Translation of the Transcription:

[Letterhead:] EGON SCHIELE VIENNA XIII HIETZINGER HAUPTSTRASSE 101 [Address crossed out and corrected:] Wattmanngasse 6

Dear Mr. Lanyi! – herewith I send you the letter sent to me by Mr. Gmür for you to look at. – Mr. Gmür became the owner of my painting Sunflowers (Autumn Sun) in 1914; – I neither knew who the buyer of my painting was nor did I know anything about it when I sold it to you. – Would you be good enough to send me this picture or to keep it ready for collection, and I will credit you the price of the picture against any future purchase of my work. Please return me the letter (Gmür) and let me know your decision, which I assure will be favorable, through the bearer of this letter.

Best wishes,
Egon Schiele
