Dear Mr. [Schiele]!
Following up on my letter from the day before yesterday, I have decided to purchase
one of your possibly figural, excellent works at the next feasible opportunity instead of the landscape, which I quite like but which is not one of your best works. I regard you as one of the very best contemporary painters, which is why you may be represented only at your best in my collection. I am looking forward to your beautiful drawings. I have yet to receive your answer regarding the down payment to the Secession as [asked] by the owner M. for the Klimt picture.
As soon as the trains are running again I will come to Vienna.
Best regards,
Irene Beran
