Letter from Heinrich Böhler to Egon Schiele
Aug. 1915
(Tulln 1890–1918 Vienna)
(Vienna 1881–1940 St. Moritz)
Translation of the Transcription:
Dear Mr. Schiele!
I hope you will be feeling much better and happy by the time
you get this letter. Please send me the picture we talked about, old house with water,
to Belvederegasse care of the janitor and I will send you 500 crowns. I don’t want the other picture, single house, but would prefer a city view, like the others I have, so they would match better.
I am sure you will be able to paint such a picture (or landscape) until October.
I am staying in Baden, since the weather is very fine; if the weather changes,
I will come to Vienna and visit you.
Best regards
to you & your wife Edith
Yours, H. Böhler.
