Dear Egon.
Have registered your coals for the workshop with the magistrate. Specified 2 large ovens, one small oven, one tiled Swedish stove! About 400mO for monthly consumption. I don’t know if you’ll get that much but they will set a quantum for you!
Coals from the Western Railway will be next in the following days – My servant
has yet to find out the exact date! Please, dear Egon, instruct my servant on how to get the 3 pictures from the old studio – because I really want to send the borrowed picture back to [Carl] Reininghaus already! –
Yesterday the doctor wanted to send me for registration – if only this cursed war were over already! – The regimental doctor here has been replaced now I will soon fly! – The carpenter had to help because of the doctor’s move and has still only prepared the materials to build your drawers! – Believe me, I have made an effort to get them
finished soon, but so many requests are made of the man by all the gentlemen (captain, regimental doctor) that there was no way he could get it done! –
But I hope it will work out now! When can I see you in the evening, I have painted three nudes in the woods, one picture that would make a worthy addition to those intended for Wiesbaden! – If only I had the frame for it.
Best regards, your brother-in-law
Ant.[on] Peschka.
