For the 11th Exhibition of the Hagenbund, Joseph Urban (1872–1933), one of the most important founding members of the artists’ association, was once again in charge of catalogue and exhibition design. Ludwig Hevesi (1843–1910) emphasized the exhibition’s “cheerful spring atmosphere”, which is also reflected in the catalogue’s floral cover design. The exhibition was met with moderate praise. Of the 39 artists, Irma von Duczyńska (1869–1932), who took part in her first Hagenbund exhibition in 1904, was most highly acclaimed. Apart from Hermine Ginzkey (1864–1933), Duczyńska was the only woman artist to participate in the exhibition; in 1906 she would become the first woman to be accepted as a corresponding member by the Hagenbund.
