Porcelain skin and an upright posture but also the expression of the Girl in Cap all emanate unpretentious elegance. Her cheeks and lips are slightly reddened. Her deep dark eyes and narrow eyebrows, slightly raised as if in concern, contrast her delicate pale face. A light blue aura surrounds her figure, making it stand out against a muted background. Josef Dobrowsky (1889–1964) created numerous fascinating female portraits that are intriguing because of how they show they mysterious charisma of the women portrayed, as is the case, for example, in Portrait Isolde Ahlgrimm (Woman in White Blouse) or Portrait Mrs. Huber.
