The largest silver ensemble designed by Koloman Moser (1868–1918) is a multi-piece table service consisting of a Fruit Plate, a [Fish Plate] and a Silver Saucer. First exhibited in 1904 at the Hohenzollern Arts-and-Crafts Museum in Berlin, it was subsequently on display in 1906 at the Wiener Werkstätte’s exhibition room at Neustiftgasse 32–34 in Vienna. The individual parts of the service are characterized by smoothly polished silver surfaces decorated with horizontal bands. These bands are composed of chased geometrical ornaments with lapis lazuli stones inserted at different intervals. For the handle of the fruit plate, the artist used ivory.
