March 29
Dear A. P. [Anton Peschka],
On 17 October, a decree by the Ministry of War came, that all painters, whether on front-line duty or ready for auxiliary service, should be used as such in the compilation of individual regiment histories. Your regiment must therefore invite you if you petition before them. Those gentlemen who have earned particular distinction will be detached on that occasion. Do the same and write me about the outcome. In the newspaper Tagblatt there were a couple of lines about you, - I will send it to you.
Warmest greetings
EGON
[Envelope:]
Field Post.
To
Lieutenant
Anton Peschka
