Translation of the Transcription:

October 3, 1916.

Dear A. P. [Anton Peschka],
Thanks for your card from the 23rd IX. I thought you were still in Bohemia. On the 14th IX. I was examined again and remained the same. I pulled out all the stops, as I have the best chances to be used as a painter. [I] believe something will come of it and hope to be able to write about it next time. How are you? When I was in Vienna on leave, Switzerland invited me personally to exhibit at the Kunsthaus in Zurich and I am at liberty to choose other artists according to my assessment. I am thinking of a Neukunst exhibition of the Viennese artists in Zurich, and Klimt, Kokoschka, Gütersloh, Harta, Faistauer, Böhler, Fischer, Jungnickel confirmed my invitation. I don’t know yet what will come of it. –
Meanwhile warm greetings
