Sunday, October 17, 1915.
Dear A.P. [Anton Peschka],
Thank you for your cards, which I enjoyed very much. Unfortunately I am myself very busy so that I couldn’t write earlier. I just want to briefly tell you that I moved from the Tiergarten to a school, and from there to Exelberg, where we have been since 1 October. A couple of our divisions have already been used to escort Russians. Now, they say we will go to the Nordbahnhof [Northern Railway Station] – what should be done there, I do not know – either way something similar. When I am not on duty I come home every evening, even if it may be 7 o’ clock. The journey is long from there, because our barracks are located on the road between Rohrerhütte and Sophienalpe. Do write often and try to “capture” art objects, I would like very much to buy such if they are excellent. Yes, – I am wearing your spare coat, it fits me well, only the cuffs were changed to green. Much luck and a happy reunion. We hope. Your
