September 21, 1912.

Dear Mr. Osthaus,
I don’t know if you received the letter that I sent you a while ago or if you are not in Hagen. The content concerned our matter with the picture; I wrote to you that I would very much like to send you new pictures, as I was hoping that upon my return from Bregenz I would immediately be able to rent a studio. But unfortunately, that did not happen. For 6 months now I haven’t had a real work space. I would like to ask you to send me the outstanding balance that is 150 MK [Mark] as soon as possible and I will, once I can work again, send you the two first pictures. You may then choose. I know that you cannot imagine that I am without a studio. Forgive me. With best regards your Egon Schiele
