April 24, 1917.
Very honored Inspector,
I thank you for your cooperation concerning my intention to buy back the large painting and ask you to collect during the latter days of this week the picture from Brussels, which is with me and belongs to the Gallery H. [Hauer], as before that Mr. Benesch will, either on Thursday or Friday, bring the sum for the large picture and the carrier could bring this picture to me and at the same time collect yours. – I will compensate the carrier accordingly.
