Translation of the Transcription:

19th March

Dear Mr. [Richard] Lanyi! –
I am simultaneously sending you
a down payment of 500 (five hundred) c. [crowns] –
and I kindly ask you to give the
picture by [Oskar] Kokoschka to the bearer of
this message. I will bring you the remaining
2500 c. – in 4–5 days
at the latest.
– Until then, my picture in the Secession
which you have acquired
will serve as a security.
