22nd February 1917.
Dear Mr. [Richard] Lanyi!
I confirm the receipt of your letter dated 19th February 1917. You will publish the first portfolio. I will number and sign every single copy. For every copy sold from nos. 1–200, I will receive 3 K [crowns] each –, for every sold copy from nos. 201–400 5 K each. The accounts will be settled after the sale. I will further receive 5 unnumbered complimentary copies.
I will not be able to compile the selection of works on paper for the portfolio by Saturday. I thus ask you to come by this coming Sunday between 9 am and 1 pm, when you could take the cover page and the drawings with you.
