From its third year, the magazine Ver Sacrum was published every fortnight instead of monthly, albeit with a smaller circulation. Issue number 8 of the 4th year in 1901 almost exclusively contains drawings and designs by Josef Maria Auchentaller (1865–1949). The Viennese painter and graphic artist was a member of the editorial committee from 1900 to 1901. He designed two covers and realized numerous graphic works, mostly using floral motifs that were influenced by Japanese woodcuts in their linear and stylized design. In the issue dedicated to his oeuvre he presents graphic designs for textile patterns, book illustrations and posters as well as arts and crafts designs for pieces of jewelry that were executed by the company G. A. Scheid.
