Folded Letter Signed by his Father Emil to Richard Gerstl
24th Jul. 1907
(Vienna 1883–1908 Vienna)
Transcription:
Dear Ricki! Even though you’re only writing to Mom – and just sending your regards to everyone – I’m still writing to you! How are you? What are you up to? Have you been painting a lot? And what are you painting? Write us a detailed letter. – Nothing new here, the boys are the same as always! Should Mom send you some more bakery goods? If you need money, write and ask for it, just as you did with the last 20 K.[ronen] note […]. – I ask you to save the notes from the newspaper and not discard them. Mom, the boys, and I send you a 1,000 + a 1,000 greetings. Your faithful
father, Emil.
